Episode 9: The Victor Marx Story

(Original air date 10/26/17)

Episode Description

A child who has suffered trauma is a child easy to be exploited.

A child who is from a foster home, broken home, or is homeless is a child easy to exploit.

Predators have a hiearchy... Availability and Vulnerability.

This week host, Opal Singleton, will have as our guest Victor Marx, an amazingly motivational man who teaches young people how not to become a victim. Trust me... You don’t want to miss this show!!

Born to an absentee father who was a pimp and a drug dealer; who didn't claim him as his own child, Victor Marx was left for dead in a cooler by a child molester at the age of 5 in the deep South. By the time he was a teenager, Victor endured abuse from several step-fathers, attended 14 different schools and lived in 17 different houses. He was doing drugs in an effort to escape the emotional pain of his childhood. As an adult, Victor was diagnosed with mental illness and post-traumatic stress disorder. It seemed as if there was no way out. He could have chosen to remain a victim. Instead, he learned what it means to become victorious. Victor Marx travels the world as founder and President of All Things Possible, a national faith- based organization. Using his expertise as a 7th Degree Black Belt in Keichu-Do - a mixture of Karate and Jiu-Jitsu - and a 5th Degree in Weapons, Victor engages audiences of all types, delivering a powerful message of hope and restoration.

“Is it really possible for a person to break the cycle of Anger, Abuse, Addiction and Unforgiveness? I am here to tell you that you can! It's all here in my story, how I came from an abusive childhood, drugs, alcohol and anger to a life of peace, purpose and being married to the same gal for 24 years with 5 kids to boot!” - Victor Marx

Episode 7: How one woman took on Teen Vogue’s Tutorial ‘A Guide to Anal Sex’

(Original air date 10/12/17)

Episode Description

This week we will have special guest, Elizabeth Johnston from Activist Mommy. Elizabeth took on Teen Vogue Magazine by making a YouTube video asking her followers to burn the magazine because of an article entitled, “Anal Sex: What You Need to Know.” Elizabeth is a mother, activist and vlogger. She has been featured on Fox and Friends, The New York Times, The Blaze and The Christian Broadcasting Network.

Over the past two months, the media has reached a new level of sickness. We can hardly communicate “enough is enough!” Teen Vogue Magazine published an article, complete with diagrams as a “tutorial,” for teens to consider anal sex. Their readership targets girls aged 12-17. The article was very explicit and encouraged young people to consider it as an alternative to vaginal sex. Also, recently Netflix released a new TV series called, “Big Mouth.” Netflix defines the show as “an adult-animated comedy series that explores the teenage adventures of puberty,” which includes a dancing penis’ and very graphic discussions of ejaculation.

As I have reviewed these media offerings, I realized just how much impact these types of media have on the grooming of our children. The statistics show that 70% of youth in commercial sex were previously sexually violated. And I thought… ENOUGH! What can a parent or leader do to counteract media that is hell bent on making certain our children see the dark side of sexuality.

Join us this week as we explore how the media is hypersexualizing our kids.

Season 6: Exploited - Crimes Against Humanity

Episode 13: Female Perpetrators: The Role of Women in Child Sexual Exploitation (Part 2 of 2)

(Original  air date 12/08/16) | Special Rebroadcast 11/23/17)

Episode Description

It is a well known fact that women and children are the most exploited victims of sexual exploitation. No doubt about it.

What most of society does not recognize is the significant number of cases where women are the perpetrators. Approximately 60% of cases posted on the Million Kids Facebook Page involve a female as a perpetrator. Surprisingly, many females are involved with child pornography. Sometimes, the perpetrator is the victim’s own mother.

In sex trafficking cases, the woman often acts as a “bottom girl,” who does the recruiting, training, marketing and management of the girls being exploited. In some instances, the “bottom girl” is as severely abused and exploited as the victims. In other instances, she is a hardened sociopath, who inflicts a more severe punishment and exploitation than the males involved in sex trafficking rings.

Join us  as we explore several cases where the female is the perpetrator. We will examine large-scale Asian and Latin American sex trafficking rings led by women, as well as individual cases where women aggressively exploited victims of child sex trafficking. We will look at cases where women were prosecuted for producing and/or collecting large libraries of child pornography. We will try to understand the psychological aspects of female-dominated exploitation and the impact on the victim. We will also explore if there is a different standard of sentencing when the perpetrator is a woman.

Join us this week  as host, Opal Singleton, explores the underlying psychological factors in cyber recruiting and cyber relationships. Be sure to share this show with everyone you know!

Episode 2: SPECIAL REBROADCAST: The Power of Fantasy in Grooming

(Original air date 07/07/16)

Episode Description

Victims of sex trafficking are most often lured, groomed and controlled by pimps and predators. Pimping is not about sex. It is all about creating a facade. A dream. A Fantasy. Stimulating the want in the mind of a vulnerable person for something they don't currently have. We sometimes call that grooming.

This week's show is going to examine the power of the grooming process. Sometimes the smartest people are lured in. Sex and fantasy can be amazing or it can be a prison. How do you break the fantasy of a 15-year-old girl being groomed by a predator? She wants to believe with all her heart it is real, but you see the warning signs. This is a show every parent and grandparent should hear.
